The race starts from and finishes at the Hood Memorial Hall in Devauden (NP16 6NX) which is located ten minutes from Chepstow and the M48 Severn Bridge.

Distances and Categories
As the routes are varied terrain, all course distances stated are approximate. This is in accordance with Welsh Athletics/UKA regulations for a licenced trail race. Race distances are :
|10k Individual||open to age 15 years and OVER|
|* 10k Team||3 or more people age 15 years and OVER|
|5k||open to age 11 years and OVER|
|2.4k||open to ages 7 to 10 years|
|60m||open to age 6 years and UNDER|
* Teams can be male, female or mixed and the first three members across the line determine the team's placing.
All races take place in the morning. Registration opening/closing times and race start times will be published here and on our facebook page nearer the time.
All the routes are off-road on firm gravel but occasionally rutted forestry tracks, soil footpaths and, in the gulley leading to the woods, a steep rocky path.
The ground can be uneven with trip hazards such as rocks and tree roots, and overhead branches.
In wet weather the paths can be muddy and slippery with puddles. Off road shoes are recommended particularly when wet.
Please note that there are places on the routes (particularly at the start and finish) where it gets very narrow. To help us avoid bottlenecks, if you are a slower runner please keep to the left to allow faster runners space to pass.
Free parking is provided close to the Village Hall and directions will be provided by Marshalls on the day. There is limited on-site parking for disabled visitors.
